What is BERMAD Sizing Software?
Bermad’s Sizing Software optimizes the selection and sizing of Bermad valves according to the specific operating conditions of a customer’s system. Its calculations are powered by advanced algorithms based on widely accepted sizing methodologies—such as the ISA-75.01 guidelines from the International Society of Automation, along with hydraulic formulas and decades of Bermad’s engineering experience.
The software supports accurate valve selection by allowing users to input up to three regulation scenarios simultaneously. It then performs the necessary calculations and presents the results on a single screen in both numerical and graphical formats.
Sizing recommendations based on international standards provide a cost-effective approach by selecting the appropriate valve size according to operation conditions, referring to the ratio between the required flow coefficient (Kv) to the valve flow coefficient (Kv).
However, this basic guideline does not account for important factors such as cavitation resistance, valve travel, flow velocities, noise, hydraulic load, operating duration and more. Bermad’s proprietary formulas incorporate all these parameters, and the Sizing software integrates them into its sizing calculations results. The BERMAD Sizing Software concludes the process by generating a detailed report summarizing sizing recommendations.
